Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit to Union County Criminal History, including reading its material or using a search tool. Continued use means acceptance of all terms stated below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. Union County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, state, or federal government body. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service intended for credit, employment, tenant-screening, insurance, or any other use governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to help readers locate official criminal-record resources in Union County, New Mexico.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official criminal records, obtain records for users, perform official checks, or submit filings for anyone.

The resource identifies the Union County Sheriff's Office, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry as appropriate official sources. It also links to outside search tools that may assist with personal research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on avoiding the following conduct:

  • Running a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against the pages
  • Attempting unauthorized access to the site or its systems
  • Using any information to stalk, threaten, or harass a person
  • Interfering with site speed, operation, or another visitor's access
  • Making an employment, tenant-screening, credit, or insurance decision from site content
  • Violating any applicable federal, New Mexico, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information found here or through a linked service to threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against another person. Such conduct may be criminal. The restriction is especially important for New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry data, which exists for public-safety awareness and not vigilantism. New Mexico's Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, NMSA 1978 §29-11A-1 et seq., controls registration and public dissemination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Union County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its advertising partners also are not presented as services for decisions regulated by the FCRA. Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Determine creditworthiness or insurance terms
  • Make a hiring, firing, or other employment decision
  • Evaluate a rental or tenant-screening application
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
  • Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

A lawful need for an FCRA-regulated report must be handled through an authorized, compliant source. This site and its general record directions do not provide that service.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Union County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to one person's facts. A licensed New Mexico attorney must provide case-specific legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are provided "as is." No promise is made that:

  • A partner search result will be complete or correctly matched
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • Every page will be free from errors, bugs, or security flaws
  • Information will always be accurate, complete, and current

Charges, dismissals, court orders, and expungements can change a criminal record. Updates and gaps are unavoidable. Only the relevant sheriff, clerk, New Mexico DPS unit, or other government custodian can make an official statement about a record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to sheriff pages, court portals, New Mexico agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. A destination is controlled by its owner. Union County Criminal History is not responsible for that service's content, fees, data practices, accuracy, or availability. Review the destination's own terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Union County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent permitted by law, Union County Criminal History is not liable for damages arising from site use, including reliance on its material or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

New Mexico law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in New Mexico. Official public-record access remains governed by New Mexico IPRA, NMSA 1978 §14-2-1 et seq., and personal arrest-record inspection by NMSA 1978 §29-10-6.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one term is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in force. The affected language will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
